I am not one of those girls who loves spas and massages etc. but I must say that the Club Med spa is truly wonderful. The space itself - the dÃ©cor, the setting, the cold tea on welcome, everything was lovely. My boyfriend and I had a Balinese massage and it was blissful. We were both incredibly relaxed after it. I'm quite little, so I find that masseuses often think I will break if they massage me too hard, but the girl I had used the perfect amount of pressure (they also ask at the outset). We had a 50min treatment and could easily have gone for the longer one. We had the massage late afternoon, so I left the oil on overnight and my skin felt silky smooth the next day. It is definitely pricey compared to the places outside of Club Med, but I booked ours when I booked the trip and it worked out to be probably half what I would pay in London for a much less pleasant experience. The convenience of not having to leave Club Med added to the fact that the spa itself is a beautiful zen place, and the massage is absolute top quality, makes it completely worthwhile. As I said, I am not usually much of a massage/spa girl, so we left it until our last full day at Club Med which I regretted in hindsight. Had I known how wonderful it would be, I would definitely have left time for a couple more sessions.
